My Tabletop Character

Since her death, my character has had to adjust to new skills.  She can do magical ghost things now. Like possess objects and will them to move.

Grey-mane needed a sign. So my character took some yarn that she had (it’s harder to use things that aren’t ghostly) and it knit itself into this sign that floated over the Wolf’s head.

Olivia Merryweather

Formerly Age 9, from Victorian England

Hobbies: Knitting, crafting, and playing

She’s been making Merryweather’s Guide to the Land of Never After.

She makes lots of useful signs and other bits for travelers.

A New Generation

A New Generation

So, after a little tweaking, we’ve all finally got our characters for this campaign of Never After.

Corey is playing Curio, a corpse with a cabinet in his chest. Think of the movie “9″ as a good example.

Ryan is playing Lord Argentarius , a unicorn wished to safety by a little girl in a world where magic is dying. “Last Unicorn” ishy.

Joie was playing a Sphinx at first, but she’s now playing a woman out of a Literary novel.  She’s very poisonous.

Nigel is playing Grey-mane, a GIANT wolf native to Never After. (He was playing a talking book, but he changed his mind.)

Murphy is playing a young man who was an alchemist’s apprentice.  Pretty early in this campaign, the talking book was using conjuration to make food and nearly wiped the group.  Sooo… Reginald, Murphy’s Character, was saved by using the talking book’s pages to heal him. It turned him into a Page Folk.

And I was playing a little girl from Victorian England.  She DIED a few games in. *cough* But the unicorn helped pass her on so now she’s a GHOST GIRL! WoooooOooo…

Anywho, we’re in one of the Grander cities of the Never After realm. King Oberst’s … well, Kingdom. We went to a tinkering shop to get Curio fixed.  And is where we went…

I sketched the guy as Adrian described him. Dropped a little color just so you could get an idea of what the guy is like.

Maura again . . .

I need to work on this, Mike’s character is a HUGE dog.  So during the latest session of Never After, his character helped carry mine to safety.  This is Maura holding on for dear life.

Maura is my new char for Ryan’s game.  Her parents died of cholera.  She’s sickly.  Doctors make her take medicine.

The End of Never After . . .

Calliope was the star that was imprisoned into the quick silver mirror by our traveling group.  We didn’t mean to, but this was a key moment near the end of the game.

Marina

Marina

Here’s another Never After character.

(Never After is a tabletop game written and designed by Adrian McLeer.)

This is Marina.

Long ago, she was a Nixie, a water fairy. She lived peacefully in a Welcome Spring with her friend, a catfish named Mister Bubbles, until there was a shift in the Forest of Doors causing her to be washed away from her home. Marina met up with Murdaigean and the rest of their party near the Wanderling Village.

Marina lost her immortality and became a girl after using her magic to revive a deceased companion. Now she’s learning the ups and downs of being taller, larger, and less fairy-like.

More Never After characters to come soon!

Murdaigean?

Murdaigean?

He comes from a forest where men are things of fable. He watched over the forest and protected it.

Until he came to the land of Never After. Now he’s stuck traveling with a mythological greek warrior, a bunch of fairies, and a kid! Poor Ent.

I’ll be posting more Never After drawings over the next few weeks. Just keep in mind that this is a tabletop game that helped inspire Forest of Doors.
